Today, the Museum is recognized as one of the leading Portuguese cultural institutions and the most relevant in northern Portugal, and was elected by the site European Best Destinations as one of the 13 best museums in Europe.

Learn about an exceptional example of art deco architecture, built in the 1930s, the Casa de Serralves. Built with 3 floors, the house was designed to enhance the ornamental gardens, and therefore contains huge windows and an impressive two-story central hall complete with the original skylight made of lalique glass that fills the house with light.

With a single ticket you can also explore the library specialized in contemporary art, architecture, nature and landscape research, the Serralves auditorium which contains several activities, including cinema, dance, colloquiums, theatre, and the 14 galleries with exhibitions along 3 floors.
