"When we started Living Tours twenty years ago, I had no idea that we would grow from a tourist entertainment company to a tour operator with more than 10 areas of activity in tourism, from a local guided tour itinerary to an Iberian brand.

But I knew that I wanted to surround myself with brilliant people, do things differently and create distinctive and delightful experiences. One of the keys to this, whether for a bank or a tour operator, is to have passionate people.

Living is not a big company, it's a big brand that houses a bunch of small companies. Our priorities are the opposite of those of our big competitors. The rules dictate that a company should first look after its shareholders, then its customers, and only lastly worry about its employees. Living does exactly the opposite. For us, the employees come first. I think it's simply a matter of common sense: when you have a satisfied and motivated workforce, you're much more likely to have satisfied customers.
