Why Celebrations at Living?

The Party Never Ends – Work Hard. Have Fun. Make a Difference

LivingTours is famous for always honoring significant people, groups, events and important achievements in a festive, creative and surprising way. There are few companies where people celebrate life as often and passionately as Living.

People across the company say and feel “We work hard, but we also play hard”.

On all measures of productivity, evidence indicates that company employees are not afraid to work. Every victory is deserved because of hard work.

It can be called gratitude, elation or emotional relief, but when we work hard and win victories there is something inside us that screams with all our might: “Let's Celebrate”. There are several moments at Living, and the company's philosophy states that victories are celebrated, and this has become a lifestyle.

Except for companies similar to Living, you don't see many parties and celebrations in companies. Under the guise of “professionalism”, people become very serious. Seduced by the mindset that, to conduct business responsibly and efficiently, they must always be serious and hard-hearted.

Deny the need to celebrate

it is to deny a part of what it means to be human.

Living Tours isn't the only company demonstrating the virtue of hard work and the resulting desire to celebrate. However, the difference between Living and other companies is that when it feels like celebrating, particularly after an impressive victory, it feeds the feeling rather than ignoring or avoiding it.

We have some partners and employees from other companies who, in conversations, tell us: “At Living, this is just parties, it's just fun”, but they recognize our differentiation in the market, above all in the results achieved.

Celebration gives our humanity a voice, and without it, the energy that fuels the human spirit is robbed of us. Even if only hidden, there is in human nature the need to dance, sing, love, laugh, cry, tell stories and celebrate. Regardless of whether we are talking about people from Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe or the Americas, there is no culture in the world that does not get involved in some kind of festivity.

When we work in an environment where we are not encouraged to express this festive nature, an important part of our humanity is repressed, life becomes dull and the enthusiasm is lost. When this occurs, our ability to rejoice, like an unused muscle, begins to atrophy. Of course, this has an impact on any company's morale and productivity.

Why Real Parties Work

Although it is difficult to create a cause and effect link between productivity and profitability, Living's experience demonstrates that celebration has several benefits.

1. Celebration provides an opportunity to build relationships.

It is known that long-term business success comes from a relationship based on trust. Formal and informal celebrations at Living are opportunities to build these relationships.

Celebrations are simply one of the ways the company invests in what is most important, people.

2. Commemoration Gives Perception of History

Celebration helps to remember the past, in this process we develop a sense of history and are connected to the wisdom associated with the company's history. In the events of our Annual Golden Rooster celebrations, we remember the beginning of the company several times, with photos, how it came about, what was the purpose behind our foundation, showing our people the remarkable legacy they are responsible for perpetuate.

3. Celebration Helps Foretell the Future

Celebration also connects us with the future. Just as the wedding ritual symbolizes commitment and hopes for the future, some celebrations have the same impact on an organization.

Because it connects us to a future of heart and soul involvement with the company, with its legacy, its culture and its purpose. In achieving goals and objectives with a focus on achieving victories.

4. Commemoration is a Way to Recognize Major Events

People like to associate with winners. There are many companies that have great accomplishments, but people never know it when talking to employees. For whatever reason, the company simply doesn't communicate its accomplishments to them.

It is not uncommon for employees, who are not very proud of their company, to feel that what they do is important and meaningful.

At Living, we remind our employees that they are part of a winning team. And they, in turn, feel that they are part of that victory. The whole company's self-esteem is high.

The result? When people feel good about their actions, they tend to do even more and better.

5. Celebrating Helps Reduce Stress

Celebration is a form of entertainment. It acts as an escape valve for routine, a valve that seems to be part of the daily professional life of Living's employees.

6. Celebration Inspires Motivation and Energizes People

Celebrations, even small and spontaneous ones, can recharge people's batteries and make them feel renewed, they think more optimistically and have more positive attitudes.

7. Celebration Builds Self-Esteem and Eliminates Fear

Celebrations nourish the spirit of a company. They wake us up and inspire us to be bigger and better.

Living employees are very proud of what they have created, which is one of the reasons why the company selects candidates so carefully.

Celebrations are a way for the company to differentiate itself from the competition and provide a family environment, concerned with employees, customers and the communities involved, in a friendly and fun way.
