We will leave from Bilbao heading to Vitoria. Once we arrive in the capital of the Basque Country, we will make a panoramic tour of the city and a guided walking tour of the center and its medieval area to discover the most emblematic buildings and corners of the city: the new cathedral, the Basque parliament, the Virgen Blanca square, the town hall, the arches, the square Machete, the church of San Miguel, etc.
Later, we will follow the route to reach Salinas de Añana, one of the most surprising corners of the Basque Country. The Salt Valley is a unique landscape in the world.
It is one of the world’s finest examples of the history of salt in salinas arranged in 5,500 terraces. Enjoy a guided tour to get up close and live the Salinas with its unique history and architecture.
The route continues by approaching the sea through the port of Orduña (Altitude 1,000 meters) to reach Orduña, the old customs office of Castilla, where we will take a guided walking tour.
Then we will follow the Route through the Ayala Valley and Artziniega to reach the medieval Balmaseda. The lunch is included in a typical restaurant.
Afterwards, we will continue through the Mining Zone of Bizkaia to reach the coast through Santurtzi (Port of Bilbao) and Portugalete (right Bank of the Ria) and cross the Nervion River at its mouth to the Cantabrian sea through the Bizkaia Suspension Bridge (Heritage of the Humanity of UNESCO and the only active Suspension Bridge in the World) to get to Getxo.
There, you will have a panoramic visit to the coastal and residential area. The tour continues along the Ria with all its industrial history until reaching Bilbao where it ends.
