Visit Lisbon, the cosmopolitan capital city of Portugal, where the historical, cultural, and material heritage lives in harmony with the modern facades and rhythms.
In the areas from Belém to the city center, select the monuments and places you want to visit, and we will make an itinerary to suit you. Our professional tourism driver will give you all the necessary information and tips to enjoy the tour to its fullest.
In Belém, take the chance to taste the original Pastel de Belém, a conventual egg pastry created by Catholic monks in the famous Jerónimos Monastery in Belém.
Next to this historical bakery, you find the imposing Monastery with its highly ornate façade of about three hundred metres and one of the most decorative churches of Portugal, classified as UNESCO World Heritage.
You can also visit the National Museum of Coaches, holder of the most remarkable collection in the world within its kind. It is the ideal place to understand the evolution of the means of transport used by the courts, until the development of the car.
Next to the Tagus River, you will also find the Tower of Belém, an emblematic landmark of the time of the Portuguese Discoveries: a fortress in defence of the Tagus Estuary and a starting point for navigators such as Vasco da Gama for India and Pedro Álvares Cabral for Brazil, connecting Europe to the rest of the world. Next, the Monument to the Discoveries, an imposing caravel-shaped monument that highlights important connected characters from Portugal's historical past.
In the city centre, pass by and admire the Comércio Square, one of the largest European squares, once the Royal Palace of Portugal, now a hostel for some Portuguese Government Ministries.
If you still have time, from the few incredible historical districts of the capital, we recommend a visit to Alfama, one of the oldest and most authentic in the city, a place of hidden corners and narrow streets, where it is worth getting lost.
On the way back, contemplate the beautiful squares of D. Pedro IV, better known as Rossio, and the Restauradores before entering Avenida da Liberdade, the Lisbon version of the Parisian Champs-Elysées flanked by beautiful old buildings, theatres and large luxury shops.
