We Must Think Free on World Freedom Day
The Liberty
The struggle against the domination of one over the other is an old one. This is a battle for freedom, but also for equality, for an equality of liberties, opportunities, races, genders, access to education, health and justice.
This date was created by the UN and proclaimed by UNESCO.
Freedom is a right of all human beings to make their own choices, to shape their future and determine their life options.
Freedom comes from the Latin libertas and means the condition of the individual who has the right to make choices autonomously, according to his or her own will.
Freedom is enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
In Article 1: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. Endowed with reason and conscience, they should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”
Article 2 states that: “All human beings may invoke the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political opinion or another, of national or social origin, fortune, birth or any other status.”
As we well know, this date must be remembered so that this right to freedom is effectively a right for everyone around the world, which we well know is still very far from being!
If we all respected the opinions, options and points of view of others, the world would be more balanced, at all levels. The lack of acceptance castrates the freedom of others, being the cause of most conflicts around the world!
Let's be free and accept differences naturally and humanity will thank you!
