Living Tours THE BEST OFFER IN PORTUGAL & SPAIN

 

It was in the year of Euro 2004 that the then called Living in Portugal was created in Porto. Today under another name – Living Tours Portugal & Spain – this company continues to be a leader in the tourism sector. Rui Terroso, CEO & Founder of this entity, explained to us what motivates the success of this innovative company.

Founded in 2004, Living Tours is dedicated to offering its travelers the best of each destination. How can you present this project (and its evolution) to our readers?

Living Tours, initially Living in Portugal based in Porto, appeared on the market with the purpose of Pride and Patriotism in the act of offering the best we have and know how to do in Portugal. Living Tours' attitude has always been to offer something different, always creative and innovative, never copying anything that exists. Sometimes we make mistakes, redirect and start over. With regard to our evolution, I highlight some important milestones in our history: In 2006 we opened the 1st TOURIST SERVICE in Portugal, in Porto, a local receptive agency for passing tourists and in 2011 we did the same in Lisbon. Since 2013, we have an annual presence in the main international tourism fairs such as: London, Madrid, Paris, Barcelona, ​​Berlin, São Paulo and Dubai, thus being present in the main markets and with partners on all continents. In 2014, the Internationalization takes place, with the opening of our Incoming department in Barcelona, ​​with the opening of Living Tours Spain.

With the trend of online tourism, in 2015 we created our E-commerce / Marketplace platform, offering the entire online tourist offer for Portugal and Spain. In 2017, new facilities were opened in Campanhã with our LivingPlex, a space with 6500 square meters, concentrating Back Office, Online and Tour and Transfer Operation offices, for tourism and corporate business area for which we also organize hundreds of activities annually and events for companies, transporting thousands of executives in private transfers throughout the Iberian Peninsula. In 2019 we started to operate regular Walking Tours in Porto, in order to overcome the increasing difficulties with mobility within the city. This allowed us to diversify our offer with market trends and meet the needs of travelers, with Sunset Rooftop Tours and Port Wine tastings, for example.

 

What services and products are available to those who seek you?

Our products are diverse and range from Tours and Transfers to all Activities and Experiences in the Iberian destination. Today the tourist/traveler is autonomous and before traveling he himself plans everything he is going to do and how to do it. For flights go to low-cost agencies and others, for the hotel go to Booking and for activities go to www.livingtours.com where you will find all the activities and experiences you can do in that destination. The experiences range from a cruise, a romantic dinner, a TUK TUK ride, a Segway, Go Car, a bachelor party, an entrance to a monument, an amusement park, a guided tour of the Douro valley, a transfer , among many others.

With the start of a new year, it's time to set new goals. What are the main goals that Living Tours intends to achieve in 2020?

2020 will be a year of consolidating our own operation and reinforcing our commitment to Online, and we hope to be the biggest reference for activities and experiences in the Iberian Peninsula destination. We will expand the existing fleet to 30 vehicles this year, including a 9-seater Mercedes Vito and V-Class and a 29-seater Minibus.

Our biggest asset, which is our team, will reach 100 employees and we hope to achieve a turnover of 10 million euros in both countries. We also want to make the company even more professional and we will work with management based on values ​​that have always existed, but in a more professionalized way, working with specialists in the field.
