Happiness

At Living Tours, we recommend that people develop six attitudes in their daily lives and be happy:

  1. POSITIVENESS

It is an attitude that helps the person to turn their values which are considered “genetically” as good.
 

At Living, we have adopted a long list of definitions. This is our understanding of a positive life:

  • Fight for your dreams determinedly;
  • Grow yourself without diminish anyone;
  • Use the truth as a vital principle;
  • Use the power of daring in a constructive way;
  • Thank and forgive fraternally and totally;
  • Value the family;
  • Live each day optimistic in the future;
  • Respect one's own body and mind;
  • Care for the most needy;
  • Preserve Nature;
  • Keep strong even in difficult moments;
  • Always keep hope;
  • Nurture high self-esteem;
  • Be rich in humbleness;
  • Always do your best.

 

  1. ENTUSIASM

It is a state of mind that feeds our enthusiasm to work, whether in daily tasks or long-term projects.

Some people live surrounded by opportunities, brilliant ideas, but cannot put them into practice because sometimes they miss the motivating force.  

At the other side, there are those who succeed in transforming adversity into success, precisely because it is the transforming force the enthusiasm within them.

Enthusiasm is the distinction and collective and go by person to person.

We must create approaches to stimulate the enthusiastic spirit in our teams.

 

 

  1. FLEXIBILITY

In times of such fast change, we understand the importance of being flexible, if we cultivate detachment from what we learn, we are always ready to receive the new.

Sooner or later, advanced technology will become old, more and more rapidly.

We must be ready for that moment, being flexible to absorb innovation and the new.

We need to know how to listen and consider opponent arguments to our opinions.

In the organization, flexibility refers to the conditions of readaptation and redirection.

 

 

  1. ORGANIZATION


One of the most important values for us.  

Each team member needs to devote part of their time to observe the work field, establish the important and priority tasks.  

Nurture the virtues of simplicity and objectivity.

The sense of organization requires considering the dimension of time: it is necessary the associate is clear to how much time he dedicates to each task.

 

  1. FOCUS AND ACTION

O hábito a ser cultivado é o de manter a mente focada naquilo que está a ser feito, porque o pior inimigo da qualidade é a ação irrefletida.

As melhores soluções não resultam de ideias perfeitamente arquitetadas, mas de ações bem pensadas e que, ao gerar os primeiros resultados, facilitam correções e melhorias.

It is the response which must be given to each task.

Cultivate the mind focused on what is being done, because the worst enemy of quality is unthinking action.

The best solutions are not the result of perfectly designed ideas, but of well thought out actions that, when producing the first results, facilitate improvements and enhancements.

 

  1. INITIATIVE

Para serem completas, as equipas devem ter um forte espírito de iniciativa.

Teams must have a strong spirit of initiative to be completed.

When faced with new facts, we need to be ready to respond quickly.

If the team knows the values and goals of the organization, they can decide what measures and guidelines to take in facing each situation.

Otherwise, those who avoid acting, because they think the problem is not within their competence (for fear of making a mistake or for convenience), lose time and competitiveness.

If time is money, we can say initiative is a source of wealth.

 

Todas essas atitudes têm um fundamento ético e, portanto, podem ser levadas para todas as formas de convívio social e valem também para orientar o relacionamento da empresa com a sociedade.

The best thing about these six attitudes is that they feed, complement, and balance each other.

As enthusiasm is an ally of the positive spirit, it is essential to have flexibility in the organization.

In the same way the organization is meaningless if it is not guided by the right focus and opened to action. There is no action if there is no initiative.

The honourable circle is completed when we realize that the initiative is a direct descendant of positivism and enthusiasm. 

 

All these attitudes have an ethical foundation and, therefore, can be taken to all forms of social coexistence and are also valid to guide the company's relationship with society.

 

A company of the 21st century is more than an economic force.

Growing with ethics, it assumes the condition of a citizen corporation, whose action is focused on the whole development of society through public campaigns, internal actions, or support to people in social, environmental, educational and public health causes.

We, the Livingtourians are proud of all initiatives we take that contribute to the development of society.

And these actions have helped to expand our company results.

What is built, in the end, goes beyond business life.

When the organization develops a positive attitude, it contributes not only to its success, but also to the happiness of each one of its team members and consequently the society.

It is a profit that cannot be accounted for, but we must seek and pursue with the same energy and enthusiasm, because it is the true goal of the human being and all his actions

 

Happiness is the watchword to the 21st century organizations. Happiness is in the air, it is in people. It is a part of Livingtourians.
