Although, most of the time, we do not realize how the power of empathy can change the entire perspective from which, for example, a negotiation is developed, the truth is that empathy is an essential tool in all aspects of our life, and even more irreplaceable when we want professional results.
Empathy refers to the ability to understand the other and identify with him. It means that we can put ourselves in the other person's shoes and look at the world from their point of view. It is much easier that way to understand the reasons why you react in this or that way.
Empathy is not doing to others what we would like them to do to us, as others may have different tastes from ours.
Empathy is, above all, putting on others' shoes, putting yourself in their skin, trying to understand what the other person sees and likes.
Like most personal traits, empathy is both innate and learned. In fact, not all of us are born with this characteristic and, even among those who have it, few know how to use it to their advantage.
However, anyone can develop it. And for a quality empathy, which leads to concrete results and success, training is always required, I myself invested a lot in training and training in this area and today I can say that I master empathy as never before.
So, with some practice and some persistence, we can develop this ability so that it can then work automatically.
