How to Empower Your Employees

Helping people thrive at work is one of the most important things a company can do. It's one of my biggest motivations as CEO and Founder of Living's Purpose and Vision, and I've seen firsthand how everyone, including the company, benefits when you can have and develop the best in everyone.

 

This understanding came naturally at Living – it's just the way I've always done business. I don't see a distinction between the way I treat family, friends, clients and colleagues… This has created a very special culture in the workplace, and it's something we've tried to maintain as the brand grows.

 

With more than 200 people in the Living Tours group, we do something significant to bring the companies and people of the Living family together.

 

We have several ways to do this, with sharing ideas in brainstorming sessions from the various teams and departments, to listen to our people and understand what their problems are on a daily basis and how to improve performance with our guests who are the reason for our existence.

 

We have several awards, from innovation to suggestions for improvement given by any employee, we also reward the best experiences provided to our guests, we have performance incentive programs, we offer an annual 15th salary team award upon meeting the annual goal of the entire team, we also offer birth incentive prizes, as well as a set of incentives for all employees ranging from:

25 days of vacation and not the 22 days required by law, Living's minimum wage and food allowance is higher than the national minimum wage and food allowance, teams that work in rotating shifts do so in 4-day and two-day shifts days off, we encourage giving blood with 1 extra day of vacation, we have career plans, internal mobility of functions and/or department, initial and continuous training for the entire team, recreational and social events such as team buildings for karting races, paintball... , our annual Summer Party in July and we end each year in December with the distinction and appreciation of our stars, with the delivery of our Galos D´Ouro.

 

 

We have several discussions about workplace culture and ways to empower colleagues to be themselves at work, with our “I can be who I am, anywhere” strategy focusing on Diversity and Inclusion for everyone in the workplace and beyond. of it, as a strategic factor of a culture of diversity of opinions and growth.

 

We develop projects to explore the best ways to support communities, build meaningful relationships and strengthen human connections. Helping our communities to thrive, with various social and environmental volunteer projects.

 

At a social level, we have our LivingTourianos com Causa 1 por 1 program, where we donate a hot meal for each participant in our Tours, to needy and homeless people, we also carry out monthly volunteer activities with the institutions we financially support, in the preparation and distribution From the hot meals on the city street, we also carry out our internal solidarity collections to donate to institutions for orphaned children and adolescents in our communities.

 

At the environmental level, we clean plastics and rubbish from beaches, and we are currently implementing a water filtering system in the washes of the entire fleet, allowing the reuse of water in the washes, drastically reducing the consumption of drinking water.

 

We thus develop projects to explore the best ways to support communities, build meaningful relationships and strengthen human connections.

 

It is incredible to see the collective and amplified impact of these experiences, and the encouragement and inspiration that the experiences provide to recipients.
