Head with our professional guide on a journey through time in the archaeological remains of Empuries, an old city very important in the Mediterranean. Discover how Romans lived and how were their city, streets, houses, temples, and markets.
These archaeological remains are located in Sant Martí d’Empúries, a little town built next to one of the most important ports in the Roman times. Nowadays, it is conserved as a medieval town, where we still can see most of the wall and feel its essence by walking through its narrow and picturesque streets.
Go from Sant Martí d’Empúries to Estartit, the principal port and one of the diving destinations of Costa Brava, where you will take a ship to go to the Medes Islands. During an hour and a half and thanks to the underwater vision of the ship, you will be delighted seeing the stunning flora and fauna of the archipelago, which is known for having the best marine reserve of the western Mediterranean.
The Medes Islands are made up of 7 islands that form an archipelago which is part of the Natural Park of Montgrí. These islands offer the perfect match between landscape and marine diversity, as well as history, since it is said that they were a beaten path for pirates after having found shipwrecks in the surroundings.
Dive into the crystalline waters of a hidden cove surrounded by the typical landscape and nature of Costa Brava. Walkthrough some of the most representative and charming fishing towns of the region, results of the combination between tradition and modernity, full of narrow streets and corners that hide a very long and rich history.
