This tour is amazing for religious people and the ones that are not so religious, becuase the sightseen itself is worth the tour even to the ones that are not so religious. The tour guide was able to give us interesting information about each place that we visited and also about places we drove by on the way.

Excellent, well hosted, wish we had nore time in Nazaré though, sights were beautiful and guide spoke 4 languages and was most knowledgeable...

To be honest we expected the tour to be different than it actually was. From the Living Tours website we had the impression that time would be equally shared between the four stops, but it was really mostly a tour to Fatima (we left Lisbon at 9 am, Fatima was the first stop and we left there around 2.15 pm with half of the day gone already. There also was a 30 minutes stop at a tourist shop which - considering the number of shops you have next to the shrine in Fatima - was a waste of time from our point of view). The tour was operated by Grayline and when we asked the guide about the schedule she told us that in fact Grayline promotes it with a focus on Fatima. We were unaware of that and probably wouldn't have booked the tour if we had known. If your main interest is to see the religious sites then this is a good tour, but if you're looking for a more balanced trip we would not recommend it. The guide was great though, she gave much information in English, Spanish and Portuguese which we enjoyed a lot. Besides from this tour we also did a day trip to Douro Valley and a sailing trip in Lisbon throug Living Tours and they both were amazing!

We were extremely disappointed that there were no guided visits as promised. It was disorganized from the start. We showed up to the Google maps location we were directed to and no one knew who living tours was and there was no signage. We were finally told to wait in a line to check in that had no indication that it had anything to do with living tours and barely made our bus trip. The bus was crowded with 44 people and the brief on bus information was in three languages. With all these people some of them were laid at 2 stops which did not give us enough time for the last stop to really appreciate Obidos. It was pretty much a bus ride to and from the sites with sparse information. Living tours only offered us a 15% rebate for our once in a lifetime opportunity to have guided visits at the sites. Fortunately we experienced an extremely good trip with living tours from Porto to the Douro Valley later in the trip.

Visites avec du temps libre dans chaque ville. Un bel aperçu. Très impressionnés à Fatima, enchantés à Obidos. Trajet rapide. Guide excellente (en 3 langues avec un petit supplément si besoin pour nous français!). Je recommande !

The main attraction to me was Nazaré. Such a lovely place to spend time. I'm thinking to book my next holidays in there. I'm not religious but I was amazed by the large number of pilgrims in fatima and their faith.

This tour was great and our guide was fantastic! She did the tour in English and Spanish and did not forget to translate anything for both groups. Saw so many nice places, I totally recommend!

Wonderful! Lunch at the restaurant in Nazare was very good! I loved it! I saw many things and learned many stories. It was worth it, even though it was only about an hour in each city.

We really enjoyed the tour! Obidos is a medieval village of incredible landscapes. The history of Alcobaça also made the script more interesting and the pinnacle was Fatima and all its energy involved.

We were picked up at a hotel naerby our Airbnb accommodation and went to Obidos for about 1 hour. Beautiful medieval town with fortified walls. We drunk a sweet cherry liquor in a chocolate cup. Very good. Then went to Alcobaca and visit the astonishing monastery for about 1 hour. On the road to Nazare the guide Luis gave us some indications about this lovely fishermans town. Fresh fish with patatoes and salad for lunch. Dazzling ocean view with its big waves and waters overcrowded with surfers. All in all, about 2 hours there were enough to see the main viewpoinbts. After less then 1 hour in Batalla shiny monastery and church, we got to Fatima and could attend a part of a mass that was going on then. The rest of the hour we spend there in exploring the Sanctuary and the 3 little sheppards house. Fully recommended.

We were at an airbnb, so they pick us up in a nearby hotel some 5 minutes walking and we were set on a comfortable bus. First, we stopped at the amazing and beautiful medieval town of Óbidos for about 1 hour, I think... After the guide André explanation and a shot of local sweet drink Ginginha drunk a chocolate cup, we were set to explore on our own the stone medieval walls that surround this town which is also a film set for many european medieval movies with horse ridding duels, tournaments, and that sort of stuff... Then we stopped in Alcobaca, to see the Church and the Monastery. André told us one of the most bizarre love stories of Portuguese history between a king and his beloved. The lunch was in Nazaré. We bought this trip with lunch but as we had some free time to explore this fishing town, probably we would prefer to choose the restaurant on our own because there many traditional and cozy fish restaurants there. My husband Paul used to surf and we was hoping the see the highest waves in the world that happen here and maybe to meet Gareth Mcnamara if he was in town. No huge waves this time neither Gareth but the cristal clear water was full of surfers and some guys that did the tour with us went for a quick swim. Unfortunately, we were not prepared for that :( Then we went to Batala, and to see another monastery and its lovely gothic church. We were getting a new history lesson at every stop :D Finally, we arrived at Fatima and could even attend mass and see this beautiful marianne shrine and its astonishing basilica. After 9 hours of culture and great storytelling by Andre we were dropped off in Lisbon city center and from MArques we went nice and easy by subway to our airbnb downtown.
