Full description

Located in the most rugged part of the island, Nordeste is known as the most beautiful region in the island.

The first stop is at the picturesque village of Povoação, the first place to be settled on the island. Then the tour continues to the most flowery municipality of São Miguel Island, Nordeste. Here you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the landscape led by viewpoints of Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madruga with its impressive panoramas over the sea and the coast of the villages.

On our way back to Ponta Delgada is possible to admire the ancient water mills of Ribeira dos Caldeirões and pass in Salto do Cavalo, one of the many viewpoints in this region.

The return to Ponta Delgada is made by the north coast, where is possible to admire the way that the sea and the wind have shaped the northern slopes.

Tea Time in Azores

Really enjoyed the visit to the Tea Factory, the panorama is just unique, it is a lovely place to visit with a spectacular view over the sea! I can still remember the smell of the drying leaves, the people are lovely as well and the tasting was delicious. Well worth the visit.
