Start your day in Madeira with a visit to one of the emblematic viewpoints of the island and one of the highest in Europe, Cabo Girão, famous for its suspended glass platform.
Taking advantage of the “calm before the storm”, we will visit the terrace before the flood of tourist buses and visitor's cars, so you can calmly admire the panoramic view of the ocean and the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.
Then we will continue to the top of the mountain, from where you will see the village Curral das Freiras. The landscape here looks like a beautiful painting, with its bronze and green hues, sprinkled with orange rooftops and multi-coloured walls following the hills, all the way to the blue sea and colourful fishing boats.
We will make our way through farm tracks, flanked with cherry and chestnut trees sharing their grounds with extensive vineyards, until we reach the fishermen village Câmara de Lobos.
Our tour will end with a visit to one of the oldest wine cellars on the island and a tasting of their flavourful wine, or with a tasting of the famous “poncha da Madeira”, very popular in this small village.
