Full description

We find throughout the Catalan territory immense valleys of vineyards, and it is there that the varieties of the best Spanish wines develop capriciously.

In this full day excursion to three cellars located in the region near Penedés you will get to know the production of wine and cava (it is a sparkling wine, elaborated through traditional methods unique to that Catalan region), as well as taste some of the most renowned wines and cava worldwide! This visit allows you to observe the different varieties of wines produced.

Catalonia is one of the most important wine regions in Spain and has eleven protected appellations of origin. The vineyard was introduced in Catalonia more than 2,000 years ago, and today this region is the main wine producer with appellation of origin in all of Spain, with a production of 380 million bottles, including cava, which represents half of the production.

The tour includes a guided tour and tasting of two wines at Jean Leon Winery, a guided tour and harmonization (3 cheeses and 3 wines) at Torres Winery and a guided tour and tasting of two cavas and an aperitif at Freixenet Cellars.
