Toledo Cathedral is considered one of the most representative works of architecture of its time. Its walls, the spirituality of the interior and the richness of the details make this monument one of the city's landmarks.

Centuries of history and works by various artists and architectural styles come together at the Toledo Cathedral, known in medieval times as DIVES TOLETANA.

Be aware that before the Toledo Cathedral was built, other temples were erected on the same land.

Admire the arches, ribbed vaults and stained glass windows of Spain's largest Gothic cathedral. Discover the history of this basilica from its construction in the 12th century to the present day.

Let yourself be led by the light coming through the windows and it will be a short time before you discover the unique work of the Baroque style: “El Transparente”, made of marble, bronze and alabaster.

Great guided tour of Toledo Cathedral

The lady guide (white umbrella, tour on Friday at 12:45) was excellent giving lots of background and interesting information and making sure we saw the key things. Visiting the Cathedral was so much better with the guided tour than visiting on my own could have been. She explained things well in English, dealt well with questions providing insightful information, and had a good sense of humour as well as being friendly and knowledgable. Definitely highly recommend. In addition, I was slightly concerned whether I was in the right place and really didn’t want to miss the tour, and the email contact got back to me very promptly and gave me reassurance. Excellent service.
