Full description

Barcelona is a Mediterranean city, cosmopolitan, modern and unique. It offers a wide variety of cultural and gastronomic options. This 3-hour tapas route will give you an excellent introduction to local cuisine. Combine gourmet food and Catalan culture on a walking tour before dinner at some of the most famous tapas bars in Barcelona. It's a great way to start your visit to Barcelona - not only can you get an overview of this fabulous city, but you'll also learn how to order tapas and discover some of the best bars and cafés in Barcelona. In addition, your guide will give you suggestions that will help you get the most out of your stay in Barcelona. With this tapas tour you will certainly taste the most fundamental flavors of Spain.

We will start the tour at the meeting point, "Tapas Tours & Friends", a gastronomic centre created with the philosophy of offering experiences for lovers of good food and gastronomic visitors to Barcelona. Your guide, specialized in gourmet food, take you along Barcelona's most famous street, Ramblas, which are probably the most popular and tourist area of Barcelona. From there, you'll reach La Boqueria, the city's famous market. An authentic charm for the senses where smells, colours and flavours blend with everyday life.

We will continue through the Gothic Quarter, where the narrow, labyrinthine streets form the ideal setting for discovering the architecture, environment, language and cuisine unique to Spain and some of the gourmet shops over 100 years old. We'll stop off at a store specialising in Iberian ham, the best of the best, where you'll have the opportunity to taste this delicious cured meat.

The tour will stop at two restaurants that offer a wide variety of delicious tapas. Our trip will end full of good food, tradition, good wine, good conversation, a better understanding of Spanish and Catalan culture, history and living as a place.
