The Porto Cruz Space, where this superb experience takes place, is a project to celebrate the Port wine culture, combining contemporaneity and tradition.

Conceived as an informative, exhibition and leisure place, it offers new experiences around Port wine, combining it with artistic creations in fields as diverse as fashion, art and gastronomy.

Along with permanent contents, a seasonal program stimulates the cultural and artistic offer of this space, where it is mandatory to live the wine.

Facing Porto and the Douro, the building occupies a privileged area of ​​the Gaia riverside.
Meeting point of merchants and fishermen since medieval times, where they crossed the river and sold the products of Cima Douro (Upper Douro River).

The origins of the building, renovated in 1881, date back to the 18th century and the expansion of the Port wine trade.

Its rehabilitation, in 2012, to install the Porto Cruz Space inspired by the "Woman in Black", seeks to cross tradition and contemporaneity, memory and future and pay homage to Portuguese culture through its artists.
