• An unprecedented and unique 360º audiovisual experience, where you can get to know 10 of the famous legends of the city of Porto, from the last 2000 years of history.
• The Treasure of Serra do Pilar - During the 17th century, under the force of Spanish influence, the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Pilar gave its name to Serra do Pilar, one of the most beautiful and iconic views of the historical centre of Porto. According to legend, during the Siege of Porto 1832, the monks who inhabited the monastery buried a treasure trove of jewels and offerings in the Serra do Pilar
• The Phantom of the Last Nun - It is said that on some nights it is possible to hear the prayers of the last nun echoing through the wings of São Bento station.
• Barão Forrester -Baron Forrester, a great connoisseur of the Douro valley, its wine and lord of great wealth, drew maps of the region and the dangerous gorges of the Douro River. In 1861, while going down the river with his friends the local producers, the boat where they were wrecked in a dangerous throat, which he had previously identified on his maps. It was the weight of his gold he was carrying that dragged the Baron to the bottom without ever returning? Or was it the river that did not want to return who loved him so much?
• Zé do Telhado - The Portuguese Robin Hood. He was known for "stealing from the rich to give to the poor". José Teixeira da Silva, robbed the house of the richest lords in the vicinity.
• The Siege of Porto and its Dragon - Get to know the history of the symbol of the city of Porto that represents the invincible, resistant, heroic, immortal and indomitable character of the city of Porto.
• The 1755 Earthquake - Learn what impact one of the largest earthquakes in all of Europe had on the city of Lisbon and Oporto.
• Pedro Cem - Know the story of a very rich merchant from Oporto who had everything and was left with nothing when he defied God.
• Tripas à Moda do Porto - Know the origin of this very popular dish created by the inhabitants of the city of Oporto, during the help given to Infante D. Henrique in the conquest of Ceuta.
• Miragaia - In the 10th Century, the Douro River separated the Moors from the Christians. Ramiro, the Christian King, attacked a Moorish fortress to rescue his wife, Queen Gaia, who had been kidnapped by the Moorish Emir Alboazar. On the way back home, he asked her why she was crying so much. She replied, while gazing at the ruins of Alboazar’s castle, that it had been the only place where she had been really happy. In a fit of rage, Ramiro told her: “Then look Gaia, look closely (“Mira…Gaia”), because it is the last thing you will ever see”. And killed her. That is where the name of the neighbourhood of Miragaia comes from, where this Porto Customs House stands. On the other side of the Douro river, the city of Gaia can still be seen.
• River of Oblivion - Know the legend who once prevented the crossing of the troops of the Roman Empire in Ponte de Lima. It was said that whoever dared to cross it, bewitched by its beauty, would soon forget the homeland, the family, and the name itself. It's one of the most beautiful Portuguese legends and it's worth knowing.
All these legends are related to the history of the city of Porto, inspired by the book by historian Joel Cleto, "The Legends of Porto", through an innovative experience in Portugal.
The ten legends that make up the show are narrated by Pedro Abrunhosa, in the Portuguese version, and by the award-winning British actor Jeremy Irons, in the English version.
