Starting in Ponta do Garajau, this half-day off-road tour in Madeira will take you through the native forest of the island and show you the most beautiful sceneries.
Ponta do Garajau is the cliff that holds the Christ the King Statue, or Sacred Heart Statue, and from here you’ll be able to see Funchal’s bay from a different perspective. This religious monument was unveiled in 1927.
Next we’ll head to Santa Cruz, one of the earliest settlements in the Madeira Island, dating back to the early 15th century. From this point we will start our dizzying climb to the mountains, discovering hidden towns along the way and passing through farm tracks.
We will follow the native forest’s tracks and the royal cobblestone path towards our final visiting point, the lovely city of Machico, where the Portuguese explorers moored in 1419 when they discovered the Madeira Island.
No cancellation fee if you cancel until 72 hours prior to the activity date.
