The tour will start at 8:00 heading to Fuente Dé, in the heart of Picos de Europa. Our trip will last around 1.5 hours, during which we can enjoy the green colours of the Cantabrian mountains and valleys. But the most beautiful part of the trip will be when we pass through the Hermida gorge, a set of narrow gorges of the Andara massif that runs along the Deva river and between majestic almost vertical walls.

Once in Fuente Dé, we will go by cable car that will take us in just 4 minutes to a height of 1,823 m. Visit more than required since Fuente Dé is listed as one of the 7 wonders of nature of Spain. The views from Picos de Europa are incredible, and you will have the impression of almost touching the clouds.

Once in Picos de Europa, we will do about 2- 2.5 hours of hiking. An excursion in which we can enjoy the beauty of this unique place. 

After this unforgettable hiking experience, we will go by minibus to Potes (capital of Liébana and one of the most attractive municipalities of Cantabria thanks to its medieval houses surrounded by a spectacular landscape of mountains and the rivers Deva and Quiviesa). Here we can enjoy its local cuisine so appreciated. The stewed lebaniego is one of its main courses and one of its culinary stars, based on the typical chickpeas of the area (small and tender), jerky or meat, cabbage and stuffing.

Close to the town is the Monastery of Toribio de Liébana, mandatory visit in this year of Jubilee. The Monastery of Toribio was a point of pilgrimage for a long time since it contains the Lignum Crucis, "wood of the cross", the largest piece of the cross of Christ, specifically the left arm. Only in this monastery next to Santiago, Rome and Jerusalem is a piece of the cross of Jesus Christ.

After such a long day, it is time to relax in the spa of la Hermida, surely one of the best spas in Spain. The waters of La Hermida are considered the best in Europe for its medicinal mineral properties.

Finally, we will start our trip back to Santander, where we should arrive around 7:00 p.m.
