Departing from Santiago de Compostela, we will embark on a journey to the Maceira Bridge, a monumental complex formed by a primitive village, a chapel, a modern palace and the great medieval bridge, built in the 13th century.
The next stop is Muxía, where the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Barca is located. We continue along the main points of the Costa de la Muerte to the lighthouse of Cape Finisterra, the famous "End of the World" for the ancient Romans. On the Costa de la Muerte, discover the remains of shipwrecks as you hear about the land of legends, inhabited by Celts who left countless stories shrouded in mystery. This special sanctuary tells the legend of the arrival of St. James the Apostle.
Enjoy lunch in the town of Finisterre, known for its quality seafood. Here you enjoy the local gastronomy with many restaurants at adequate prices. After lunch we will drive to Ézaro, where the only waterfall in the whole of continental Europe flows directly into the ocean. Wonderful with breathtaking scenery and the amazing Xallas river. The next stop will be Carnota, where the guide will tell you all about the breakwaters, very typical in the whole region.
The last stop is in Muros, an ancient port of the city of Santiago from the Middle Ages. Here you will have free time to rest and visit the old town before returning to Santiago.
On this day trip along the Costa da Muerte, our experienced guide will tell the story behind the curious name, the history of Galicia and many other interesting facts. Along the way, the Celtic heritage will become evident through the ancient shipwrecks all along the coast and the legends heard in every corner.
