On this full-day tour departing from Algarve discover one of the world’s most important Marian pilgrimage sites! Fátima now attracts thousands of pilgrims from all over the world, particularly on the pilgrimage days in May and October. 

We will departure from Algarve with the goal of visiting the impressive Sanctuary of Fátima. The fame of this Sanctuary is the result of the Apparitions of Our Lady of the Rosary to three shepherd children Lúcia and her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta that, between May and October of 1917, witnessed successive apparitions.

Here you will have free time for lunch (not included), shopping and a possibility of attending a mass either at the Cathedral or at the Chapel of Apparitions. 

The story of the apparitions gained such a following of believers that Chapel of Apparitions was built, becoming the first in the Sanctuary. 

Then, the tour proceeds to the village of Aljustrel, to visit the houses where the three little shepherds were born and grew up. This visit provides a window into what life was like in rural Portugal during the early 20th century. 

By the end of the tour, you will return to Algarve.
