Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Can we swim with the dolphins? No, we are not allowed to swim on this tour. In Portugal, swimming with dolphins is allowed only in the Azores and Madeira;
  • Do you always see dolphins? No. Dolphins are wild animals and are not fed. We never know if we will find them. Last year, we had a success rate of over 90% and we are improving! It's a real adventure.
  • Are there dolphins all year round? Yes, the dolphins stay all year round. And this dolphin tour happens all year round.
  • Is it possible to observe other species besides dolphins? Of course! Dolphin watching tours are a real safari. We never know if you will, but the seabirds are right, we also find sea turtles, sharks, whales, and moonfish.
  • Is this tour with dolphins suitable for babies and pregnant women? No. Dolphin watching tours on rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) are not recommended for babies under 5 years of age, pregnant women or people with back and neck problems.
  • Is the use of life jackets mandatory? Are child lifejackets available? Yes, we have comfortable life jackets for all ages and weights.
  • Can we take cameras and phones to photograph dolphins? Yes, it is okay to take your camera and phone with you on the ride, but we are not responsible for any damage or loss that may occur.
  • How many people go on each boat? Our boat has a maximum capacity of 12 people and 2 skippers/guides. If you need more, we can use boats with greater capacity or more than one. For charters or private tours, please contact us for a personalized offer.
  • Should I book my dolphin watching in advance? Yes, we recommend booking in advance because our tours often sell out, even in the low season. In the high season, the boat is usually crowded!
  • What is the best time to observe dolphins? We make morning trips, the sooner the better. Usually, there is less wind in the morning and the sea is calmer.
  • What happens if the expedition is canceled? The tours with dolphins are always subject to weather and sea conditions. If the tour is canceled or changed, you will be contacted to try to reschedule. It may happen that the tours are canceled at the last minute because the sea can be unpredictable and we want your safety and comfort above all. You will always be reimbursed 100% if you cannot reschedule.

It surprised me
It couldn't have gone better, as we saw a large group of common dolphins with a few chicks along with the roca. We also saw a large number of seabirds, some of them doing a piercing flight to dive into the ocean in order to catch the fish brought to the surface by the dolphins.

Dolphins in the Ocean
I did a dolphin watching tour on my birthday and it was a really unforgettable experience. We observed three groups of common dolphins very close to us. I highly recommend

Dolphins so close to Lisbon!
We went our with this company in June and found it a great deal. It is a Non-crowded touristic attraction that you can easily do with your family. The tour guides and marine biologist were very knowledgeable a knew what they were doing. The dolphins came very close to the boat which allowed us to keep a nice memory of them in the wild. besides beeing a fast boat, it was very safe and comfortable. Definaltely the best of our visit to Lisbon. Tottaly recommend it! Worth each penny.
