We will leave at 09:15 in the direction of Ramales de la Victoria, where the Cullalvera and Covalanas caves are located. Cullavera is a majestic cave, formed by large cavities easily accessible and where a spectacle of sound, light and unbeatable water is created. On the other side is the famous Cueva de Covalanas, also known as red deer cave, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. This is a small cavity (only 65 m) and houses rock representations of more to 25,000 years (Upper Palaeolithic). The importance of this cave lies in its figures endowed with realism and movement thanks to the reddish color of his paintings. Depending on availability, a visit to one or another of the caves will be made, without being able to guarantee a visit to any of the caves in advance.
Then we will make a stop to eat before heading to the Natural Park of the Collados del Asón, a meeting with the magnificent mountains of the Soba Valley at 660 m altitude. In these mountains, the Asón River is born through a spectacular waterfall of more than 50 m where the resounding water and the steep landscape offered by the head of the valley, make this place a mandatory stop. So is the birth of the Gándara River and we will visit first. This river arises between soft meadows, at the foot of an impressive natural chordate. Both rivers run through different valleys, those of Soba and Ruesga, to finally unite in Ramales de la Victoria. Also, noteworthy are the masses of native forest, especially in the highest part of the park, formed by forests of beech, oak and above.
Finally, we will go to the municipality of Ampuero to prepare for the descent in Canoa through the River Asón through the municipality of Udalla. To carry out the activity we will meet with more people at the point of departure since it is a local Ampuero who carries out this activity. The duration of this activity will be between 2.5 and 3 hours. A fun experience aimed at those who like landscapes and tranquility, but who occasionally want to have fun.
Once the tour in Canoa, we will head to Santander, where we should arrive around 19:30 hrs.
Cancellations less than 72 hours or no show, a fee of 100% will be charge.
