Thanks to our specialized guides, who immerse themselves in the different faces of the architectural legacy of Barcelona, their culture and people can enjoy an exceptional tour.
Our tour begins at Plaça Catalunya, the main center of the city, which is connected to Passeig de Gràcia street, representative of the most distinctive Catalan architecture. Here we find some of the most striking facades of modernist buildings, among which La Pedrera by Antoni Gaudí stands out. In addition, in the so-called "apple of discord", we will discover other wonderful examples of modernist houses such as Casa Batlló de Gaudí, Casa Lleó - Morera or Casa Ametller.
We will follow the steps of the architect entering the Eixample. This district was designed by Ildefons Cerdà as an extension of the old town, for the orderly growth of the city. Your guide will take you through its regular streets to reach an area composed of the hidden modernist gem, Hospital de Sant Pau, and Gaudí's masterpiece, La Sagrada Familia.
This tour allows you to enter the most representative monument of Barcelona skipping the queues.
On this guided tour you will be able to understand the different parts of the building and its symbolism. You will be captivated by Gaudí's architecture: the shapes of its columns, ceilings and walls and the organic sense of architecture.
The tour will continue in the district of Ciutat Vella, making a first stop at Arc de Triomf (Arc de Triomphe). Near it is the Ciutadella Park, the old fortress of the city. On the occasion of the Universal Exposition of 1888, numerous facilities and constructions were located in the park. Today, these public gardens have become an important recreation and recreation center for the inhabitants of Barcelona.
Our guide will take you through its points of interest such as the Castle of the Three Dragons, the monumental waterfall - with interventions by Gaudí - or the sculpture 'The Duel', located in the middle of a lake.
Then we will move to the coastline, open to the Mediterranean Sea. We will cross the coast of Port Vell, through Gothic Drassanes and Columbus Monument - near the mythical Rambla - to finish in the new World Trade Center.
From the coast we will climb the mountain of Montjuïc. There is the Mirador de l'Alcalde, a terrace from where you can enjoy the most spectacular panoramic views over the Barcelona skyline. In the same mountain are the facilities related to the Olympics of '92 - the remodeled Olympic Stadium and Palau Sant Jordi de Arata Isozaki - or urban planning and architecture designed for the International Exhibition of 1929, such as Plaça Espanya- influenced by St. Peter's Square in the Vatican - or The National Palace.
From the heights we will go to the center of the old city. End the day with a relaxed walk through the most charming corners of the Gothic Quarter, the discovery of the traces of the Roman era and medieval city where you can only get there on foot. We will tour its historic Jewish Quarter. We will stop at the Cathedral of Barcelona to admire the magnificent Gothic cathedral and its impressive neo-Gothic facade. And we will travel in time to the origins of Barcelona, in Plaça Sant Jaume, where the City Hall is today.
