Full description

Have you ever heard about the Bairrada Region? Bairrada is a Portuguese wine region located in the province of Beira Litoral and the Center of Portugal. It is characterized mainly by the strong wine production and has a DOC denomination.

Discover this wonderful region, famous for its exquisite production of sparkling, red and white high-quality wines. But that's not all. The Bairrada Region presents several unforgettable treasures: a gastronomy based on divine roasts and famous suckling pig recipes, and enchanting villages of thermal waters - Curia and Luso.

Our first stop is at a renowned Wine Estate, producer of the exquisite wines, the Aliança Underground Museum. An old prestigious wine cellar that was transformed into a Museum, exhibiting an incredible collection of exotic pieces from all over the world. Explore great works of archeology, ethnography, mineralogy, paleontology, tiles, and ceramics. Different from all the other typical wine cellars, the Aliança offers you a sparkling wine tasting

Since 1937, São Domingos Wine Cellars have produced sparkling wines, old spirits, pomace spirits, and Bairrada, Dão and Beiras wines. Have the opportunity to visit this famous Wine Estate and understand all the process behind the production of these wines of excellence. Taste its dazzling wines, so very acclaimed all over the world, and be amazed by this wine region.

Have some free time for lunch (not included). If you wish, ask your private guide to give you some suggestions on where and what to eat. For now, we recommend you the traditional roasted suckling pig.

It's now time to move on and discover others hidden treasures of the Bairrada: explore Curia and Luso, two thermal water villages. Sounds relaxing, right?

Get to known Curia, a small village where you can find one of the oldest thermal spas in the country: the Termas da Curia. a perfect space to take into account the health, the beauty, and the tranquility and to disconnect of the rhythm of the day-to-day life.

Later, discover Luso, a touristic small village famous known for the purity of its hot springs, used in the treatment of kidney problems and skin diseases. This locality is a true nature refuge, in an environment conducive to romance and contact with nature. You will be amazed!

This private tour ends with the drop off at your accommodation, in the center of Porto.
