What about canyoning in the beauty of Riberia dos Caldeirões? Sounds good, right? So let's go!

Upon arrival to Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões, be welcomed by our team one of the most popular places in Nordeste, with its splendid diverse green vegetation, clear and fresh waters that create beautiful waterfalls, and the tranquility of a magical place.

Last but not the least, beautiful water mills that will take you back in time. The activity starts with the equipment distribution to participants, followed by a short walk of about 20 minutes, until the entry point in the stream, where the safety briefing takes place.

Along the way there are vertical challenges (waterfalls) whose transposition will be made with the technique of abseiling (highest waterfall with 8 meters), alternating with small walking sections and a more playful area (slide and a jump with about 5 meters tall). After the activity, time to slow down your heartbeat, change to warm clothes and remember an amazing experience.

The minimum age for participants is 6 years old - from 6 to 18 children must be accompanied by their parents or carry written consent.

Minimum equipment necessary:
Swimsuit and shoes with hard soles - for the activity (Tennis/boots). Towel, sunscreen, one change of clothes (with extra shoes) - to wear after the activity. It is recommended that participants tie their hair (if applicable).
Recommended Equipment:
Lycra Shirt, neoprene gloves, proof bag (to keep the phone and/or the camera). There is a possibility of rental canyoning boots (extra cost: €5).

First time for our group trying canyoning and we all absolutely loved it! Ana from Living Tours was very communicative right from the point of booking and was also able to re-book us on a different date when our flights were delayed. Our guides Hugo and Ricardo were incredible! They were helpful, funny, entertaining and absolutely a pleasure to meet. We left with amazing memories thanks to their team effort!

Der "Kurs" ist eine physische Herausforderung, da er zunächst einen ziemlich steilen Aufstieg beinhaltet, aber jeder mit angemessener Fitness wird in Ordnung sein. Dann beginnen die Abseilherausforderungen in einem Wasserfall, springen von Klippen (in die Höhe!), Abseilen und rutschen die Felsen hinunter. Es gab alternative Routen für diejenigen, die keine der Etappen absolvieren wollten, und es gab nie Druck. Einfach eine tolle Session und so glücklich, dass wir sie bekommen haben

It was magnificent to get to know São Miguel even more through the canyoning. I was lucky to have 2 excellent guides Luís Botelho and Ricardo, always friendly and cheerful! Without them, the experience was not the same. Friendly, available and super enthusiast. They provided all the necessary equipment for the activity. Careful in the briefing. Duration approx. 1h30 We recommend, to repeat.

Radical without experience in Azores

Wanted to do some radical activities with the buddies while we were staying in the Azores, and although we didn´t had so much practice doing canyoning, except Robert, we decided to join. Our guide and teacher Antonio helped us all the way and it made us much more easy to enjoy with fun. Park of Ribeira is ideal if you like open air activities and the waterfalls can be very pretty. Much better than staying a morning or afternoon just doing nothing.
