Full description

Visit Aveiro and get lost in the narrow streets, and marvel at the Art Nouveau buildings and the tile panels of the typical Beira-mar neighbourhood with our experienced guides.

Get to know the favourite places of the locals, the best food in Aveiro and learn the history of the Art Nouveau capital in Portugal. Aveiro gave itself to this style in the 20th century, and today belongs to a network of renowned European cities that preserve this style.

Discover the building of the Museum of New Art and others along the way, the Chapel of São Gonçalinho, the Carcavelos Bridge, the Beira-Mar district and finish with a tasting of soft eggs in a traditional pastry shop, which has been making this sweet for over a hundred years.

Immerse yourself in the city's past and explore Praça da República and its main points of interest. Dazzle yourself with the Church of Mercy, the Town Hall and the statue of an important Aveirense - José Estevão, figure of extreme importance in the political framework of the nineteenth century, during which there were profound transformations in Portuguese society.

Finish the tour by observing the Casa de Santa Zita - a former eighteenth-century palace of the Viscount of the Farm with a blue tiled façade, and the Aveiro Museum.
