Full description

Discover the beautiful city of Granada, located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. A historical city where you will visit the Alhambra Palace, the Palace of Charles V and the Generalife Gardens.

The Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace, was built in the 13th century. It is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and it is the most renowned building of the Andalusian Islamic historical legacy. It was the palace, citadel and fortress, and the residence of the Nasrid sultans and their senior officials, including servants of the court and elite soldiers during the 13th and 14th centuries.

Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, demolished part of the architectural complex to build the Palace which bears his name in the 16th century. The Generalife is a garden area attached to the Alhambra which became a place of leisure and rest for the Granada Muslim kings. The Generalife gardens are also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Stroll around the Albaicin, the ancient Moorish quarter of the city that will transport you to a unique world. From the San Nicolas Viewpoint in the Albaicin, just opposite the Alhambra, you will see some unique landscapes that you will never forget. Down again in the city center, we will visit the surroundings of the Royal Chapel, the Alcaiceria, Corral del Carbon, and other historic and cultural places of interest.

Nice experience
The bus trip to Granada supplied lovely views of the countryside with good narrative from the tour guide. The Alhambra tour met all expectations and was absolutely fascinating. A great day tour!

Moorish Gem
I and my wife Elizabeth took this guided tour that started by Granada and then followed to Alhambra. We were overwhelm by the Palace, architecture, gardens (well preserved by the way. One can still see the change from military, royal residence and finally citadel. It´s a great choice to visit if you are in south of Spain.

Trip to the past
Great oportunity to go back to the past in Granada, with all the stories our guide Pablo told us. The moorish presence was really important in the south of Spain for many centurys. Still is. Alhambra tour was delightfull. A full day in which we enjoy and learn a lot. Many thanks.
