Full-day tour
On this full-day tour, discover Lagos and Sagres, and get to know their importance to the Age of Discoveries.
In Lagos, visit the Church of Santo António, decorated excessively with golden motifs, filled with angels, animals, and fish. Despite the devastating 1755 earthquake, the church survived and managed to maintain its unique beauty. Wander through the historic area of the city, which dates from the 15th century.
Ponta da Piedade will also be a stopping point. This magnificent rock formation is one of the points with most photographic interest in Lagos.
Sagres is still one of the few gems in the Algarve that's not too crowded by tourists, but it’s not less worth visiting. It is the southernmost point of Portugal and Europe, and the perfect window to the Atlantic Ocean. With its magnificent cliffs and viewpoints with enviable views, it will surely captivate you. You will also see the Sagres Fortress, a military monument built in the 15th century.
Last but not least, we’ll visit Cabo de São Vicente, the southwestern most point of the European continent, known in medieval times as the “End of the World”, where sits one of the most luminous lighthouses in Europe.
