Full description

From Lisbon, we will find one of the largest relics that the wonderful village of Sintra offers: the Quinta da Regaleira, known for its unique cultural and natural beauty.

Along with the Historic Centre of Sintra, the Palace and Quinta da Regaleira were classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage. The Quinta da Regaleira is one of the most beautiful examples of the revival art of the 20th century. It consists of a Palace, a chapel, a Forest, and a number of luxurious gardens, with exotic trees and abundant vegetation, and even a tunnel network connecting all the buildings. In the Palace you can see the beautiful architecture, large rooms, and fine details. In this tour, you will be able to discover the secrets that the Quinta da Regaleira has kept over these years: every corner of this place hides mysterious meanings of Freemasonry and the Knights Templar, including tunnels, Gothic towers, and fortified stone walls.

Afterwards, we will visit the Pena National Palace, one of the 7 wonders of Portugal and has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. If you look at the building on the outside, you will see a unique blend of different architectural styles ranging from Neo-Gothic to Neo-Manuelan and even Neo-Moorish, which appeared in the 1840s. On the inside, you'll find tiled decoration with trompe-l'œil painted sand walls.

We will return to Lisbon through Cascais, a village known for its closeness and intrinsic connection to the sea and the ocean. There is the Guincho Beach, a popular beach for surf fans.

We promise you: it will be unforgettable!

Sintra tour
Good day, well organised and managed by tour guides and bus driver. All areas very busy and full of tourists but all flowed well. Nice places to see Victoria, our English speaking was excellent.

Excelente
Ônibus confortável, guias maravilhosos e ótimo roteiro. Para quem gosta de passear ouvindo a história do local, com boas dicas, é excelente. O tempo de visita nas atrações também é suficiente para ver tudo com calma durante a baixa estação. Recomendo!

Must do while in Lisbon
I enjoyed this tour veey much - it had had a well-designed programme and was of a comfortable duration. I have already been to all the placed included in this tour before but wanted to revisit them. Our tour guide was quite knowledgable (and was a good driver too!). The tour did not feel too long and/or too tiring as there were frequent stops of adequate duration in various spots with much to see & do at each location as well as the opportunity to relax when needed. Highly recommend !!

Sntra and Cascais from Lisbon
We drove from Lisbon in a comfortable bus with a very funny guide, Tiago. We started for the Regaleira which is peculiar place to a place with a deep meaning, thought and attention to details. The whole trip was good and on time. Tiago provided useful information and curious stories about the whole place. Beautifull sea view in Cape da Roca, good place for taking photos, and Cascais it´s also a white not very big city, full of fantastic houses and with a urban plan well defined. Appreciated the smaller group and intimate experience.

Read about Quinta da Regaleira or visit on a guided tour
Regaleira it's definitely a special place in Sintra. It has an aura of mystery, and the original architecture and gardens reflects the initiation simbolic rituals that were performed there. Our guide was well informed and didn´t let us miss anything. Cascais was less interesting. The drop on and drop off point is well located.

Complete day tour
I warmly recommend taking a guided tour since there are so many details in the places we visit that is impossible to know half even if you made your holiday homework. It´s possible to have a guide that speaks english and other languages. Qinta da Regaleira it´s an amazing place related with freemasons and knights templar. Cascais it´s a nice city, where wealth people live, but still has it´s traditions close to the sea. Also liked the Roca feeling myself on the western point of europe (continental).
