Your half-day tour begins in the Cathedral of Porto, a Romanesque building where the city of Porto was born. Explore the large square around it and listen to the impressive history of the Cathedral - let yourself be impressed by its façade details. The Cathedral of Porto is one of the most important buildings not only in Porto but also in the whole country!

Appreciate from afar the Clérigos Tower, designed and decorated by the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni. Easily seen for different parts of the city center, this tower gives you a stunning view over Porto (no entrance included).

Explore the Aliados Avenue, this main city centre, impressive for the façades of the buildings that surround it. The grey tones of this huge avenue will surprise you: there is a picture to be taken everywhere you look!

One of the main attractions in Porto is a mandatory stop in this tour: the São Bento Railway Station. Enter this train station and observe its twenty thousand painted tiles to discover the History of Portugal. You will surely be surprised: this place looks like a real tile museum!

Porto Tour-Paul

Last month we took a Porto City Tour with Paul. He was excellent - low key, ,excellent English, very nice and knowledgeable about the city. There were only six of us on that particular day (which was a nice size) and he showed interest in each and every one of us and was lots of fun. Please ask for Paul if you do this tour.

Enjoyable Land and Water Tour

We enjoyed the tour of Porto in a van with our tour guide giving us information about the history of Porto. Unfortunately, an auto race was going to be held in the city and we were not able to see all the places the tour guide had wanted to show us. We enjoyed the 7 bridges boat ride, but once again, were a bit disappointed that the tour guide on the boat only spoke in Portuguese, so we were not able to understand anything he said. The Winery tour was enjoyable and we have a whole new appreciation for Porto wine.

Good orientation to Porto

Upon arrival in Porto, we enjoyed the "Porto City Tour with Wine Tasting and 6 Bridges Cruise - Small Group - Half Day" tour. The guide was pleasant and informative. We saw many sites in Porto and concluded with a Port tasting at one of the wineries on the Gaia side of the river. Nice overview. The "Bridges cruise" was a joke. Stand in line on the dock for about an hour, then board for a 30 minute boat trip with no narration. Definitely not worth it. I recommend the City Tour only.
