You had already tasted probably the most famous Portuguese pastry, pastel de nata? If your answer is yes, you certainly became a fan of this delicacy!

Pastel de nata is a Portuguese egg tart pastry very common and recognized worldwide in countries such as China (Macau), Australia, United States, Canada, France, Brazil, among many other countries. This delicious candy, born in the 18th century at Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon. At the time, monasteries and convents used huge quantities of egg-whites for starching of clothes, such as nun´s habits.

The egg yolks were used to make pastries and cakes, resulting in the proliferation of the Portuguese sweet recipes.

You should not return to your country without learning how to prepare it! Therefore, every time you miss this delicacy you will be able to cook it! Could it sound better than this?

Between 8 and 15 days before the event date, 50% of the total amount will be charged.

Cancellations less than 7 days or no show, a fee of 100% will be charge.

This pastry class requires a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 10 participants.
Please be at the cooking class location 15 minutes before the workshop starts. We can wait a maximum of 15 minutes after the start time due to delays of the participants. After 15 minutes of waiting, we will begin the lesson with the participants present. 45 minutes after the start time, we may deny access to the class without refund.
Children up to and including 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

learning the sweetest portuguese pastry

During my visit in Lisbon last month I fell in love by the taste of "pastel de nata". I could eat one in the morning , afterrnoon and at night, every single day. I saw this oportunity to join a class on how to do the perfect pastel de nata and I didn´t hesitate. It is easy if somebody teach but a bit more dificult doing by yourself. The recipy varies, and it´s important to follow very well all the steps. After I taste one I made and it was quite ok for the first one. Nice!
