1st Day COSTA DEL SOL - TARIFA – TANGIER – RABAT
Departure along the tourist route of the Costa del Sol. Arrival in Tarifa. Boarding the ferry for a short and interesting crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar to Africa. Arrival in Morocco, drop off, customs formalities and continuation to Larache. Short stopover and free time. Continuation to Rabat, dinner included and accommodation at the hotel.
2nd Day RABAT - CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH
Breakfast included and complete visit of the city, including places like the Mausoleum Mohamed V, the Oudayas ruins or the exteriors of the Royal Palace. Then, continuation to Casablanca, the economic capital of the country, where they make a panoramic visit including the exteriors of the Hassan II Mosque, and the United Nations square. Free time in this city. Continuation to Marrakech and arrival of the end of the afternoon. Dinner included and accommodation at the hotel.
3rd Day MARRAKECH
Breakfast included in the hotel. We will enjoy a day on our own to explore the city. We will visit our favourite places or hire excursions to reach other parts of the city, drive through the green valleys in a 4x4 and get to know the lifestyle of the surrounding villages that have little to do with city life, its impressive waterfalls located in Ouzoud and much more. Without doubt a great opportunity to relax and feel the place. Lunch included and accommodation in the hotel.
4th Day MARRAKECH – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE
5th Day OUARZAZATE – ERFOUD
Breakfast included and visit of the Kasbahs Taourirt, located in the heart of the city, where you can visit its rooms and the courtyard. Later departure to Erfoud crossing the Dades Valley through towns like Boulmane to Kellah M "gouna with its immense palm groves and the Valley of the Roses. Arrival at Todra Gorges, an impressive geographical feature produced by the erosion of the river. Free time in this place to discover it on your own. Continue to Erfoud. Dinner included and accommodation at the hotel.
OPTIONAL TOURS*:
a) Sunrise on the dunes of Erg Chebbi - Excursion in 4x4 vehicle to see the sunrise in the desert. Early departure (morning of the 5th to 6th day of the circuit) from our hotel in Erfoud to the sea of dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you can see the sunrise effect and take a camel ride. Return to the hotel for breakfast.
b) Night in the dunes of Erg Chebbi - Instead of sleeping in the hotel in Erfoud we will continue to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will stay in nomadic tents. You will be able to spend the night in a paradisiacal place and have dinner with typical desert dishes. You will see the sunrise in the desert and take a 4x4 tour and a camel ride.
*If you book this optional tour, you will not be able to use the hotel in Erfoud and there is no refund for not using a hotel in Erfoud.
6th Day ERFOUD – FEZ
Breakfast included and departure to Fez. This day you will go through the whole Ziz Valley, where you will see endless palm groves and buildings made of mud and straw. Afterwards they cross the Middle Atlas through cities like Errachidia or Midelt with high mountain climates and almost perpetual snows, being an incredible contrast the heat of the desert and the snows of this place in few kilometres. Finally, they arrive at the Azrou cedar forest to reach Fez in the late afternoon. Dinner included and accommodation at the hotel.
7th Day FEZ
Breakfast included in the hotel. Visit of this old city that with its 785 mosques and its splendid Medina (old town), is the intellectual and religious capital of the country. The guided tour starts with the exterior of the Royal Palace and its 7 gates, Dar El Makhzen, former residence of the Sultan, the Bab Bojloud gate which is decorated with blue glazed pottery (the colour of Fes) and green (the colour of Islam) giving access to the walled enclosure of the Medina, the largest in North Africa declared a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. During this authentic labyrinth of more than 2,000 squares, streets and alleys that branch out endlessly, guarding some of the most beautiful buildings: Palaces, Madrasas, Mosques, Gates, Fountains, which pleasantly surprise the visitor. You will walk around the Place Es-Seffarin with its spectacular fountain of beautiful ceramics and in which you will see engraved on the marble fleur-de-lis, the Karaouine Mosque, the best known in the city with its famous Friday prayer, the holy day of the Muslims, built in the 9th century and which is the oldest centre of religious education.
You will visit the spectacularly coloured dyers' quarter and the souk, where you will be assaulted by the sounds, smells and colours of an all-pervading crowd, seeming to emerge from a forgotten page of history. Return to the hotel and free afternoon. Dinner included and accommodation at the hotel. In the evening, possibility of attending a dinner show in a typical restaurant in La Medina.
8th Day FEZ – TANGER – TARIFA – COSTA DEL SOL
Breakfast included in the hotel. Transfer to the port where we will board the ferry back to Tarifa crossing the Strait of Gibraltar. Arrival and departure to the Costa del Sol.
