Full description

Experience the natural splendor of Montserrat, Catalonia’s most emblematic mountain. You can define Montserrat with these three words: relaxing, serene and introspective. Will you join us? In this tour, you will visit the interior of the stunning Monastery (the Montserrat Abbey) and explore the hidden treasures of its Museum

On the way to the Monastery (the Montserrat Abbey), admire the Massif of Montserrat, a spectacular multi-peaked rocky range packed of unique needle-shape formations. These are visible from a great distance and are absolutely imposing.

Upon arrival, visit this stunning Monastery, which was founded in the 10th century and still functions to this day, with over 150 monks. It is also well-known for hosting the figure of La Moreneta (the Virgin of Montserrat), who is the patron saint of Catalonia. Your guide will bring history alive by explaining the roots and ventures of this Monastery dating nearly a thousand years! Also, enjoy the singing of the monks and the boy's choir, the Escolania de Montserrat

It's now time to visit the most fascinating part of the tour: the Museum of Montserrat! Admire the famous paintings of Dalí, Caravaggio, Monet, and Picasso and have an exclusive visit to the Biblical spacewhere you can find the hidden treasures of the community.

At the end of the visit, have the opportunity to taste the monk’s pastries and delicacies, based on an old and traditional recipe, paired with a glass of local cava.

Beautiful setting
I really enjoyed my visit to the Montserrat Monastery. We went on a comfortable bus ride up the mountain. We got to see the Black Madonna without having to stand in a long line. The monastery was beautiful and the views were breathtaking.
