Madeira Island never ceases to amaze us with its sweeping landscapes! This unique attractiveness that touches your soul really seems to have come straight out of a fairy tale. To check those words, let’s start with a walking tour of the famous Levadas, surprise yourself!

We began our full day tour in Santana municipality in the middle of Laurissilva Forest. Here you will find the Queimadas guesthouse, which maintains the original characteristics of the typical Santana houses.  

The route is unbelievably green, everything around you represents nature in its pure state. During the walk, you will be able to contemplate a panoramic scenery over the village of São Jorge. You will pass through several mysterious tunnels, so prepare your torch and start to explore!

As you reach the Caldeirão Verde, you will appreciate a stunning waterfall through which passes crystalline waters. Enjoy a relaxing moment to the sound of water and take some time to recharge batteries with a picnic.
