Enjoy a very entertaining day visiting Ávila and Segovia, two cities rich in history!

The first stop in your tour will be in Ávila, a city that preserves the most ancient and complete fortified complex in Spain (XI century). Its 2500 m wall and its 90 fortified towers surround the old city, which houses a great part of its monumental treasure including many Romanesque style churches, gothic palaces and a fortified cathedral of the XII century.

We will go up to the walls of Ávila, visit the outside of the Basilica of St. Vincent, built outside the walls of the town offers you a notable Gothic architecture. The basilica sits on the site where three Christian martyrs were killed after their refusal to worship pagan gods. Pay attention to history that our guide will tell you!

Then we will visit the outside of the Cathedral of Ávila. You will be in love with the oldest Spanish Gothic Cathedral! It stands on the remains of an original building in the Romanesque style that after adopted the Gothic! 

At the end of the Ávila tour, we will go to Segovia, famous for its well-preserved Roman aqueduct, which is 16 km long, is home to some of the kings of Castile! This city preserves one of the most important medieval group of buildings in Spain.

In Segovia, you'll enjoy a traditional lunch (if you choose this option) or have some time on your own to taste the local food!

After lunch, join the group and meet your guide in front of the Cathedral for an exterior visit and a mix of military and residential architecture. Locals and visitors alike say this castle is so magical that it was a source of inspiration for Walt Disney!
